The last iteration I saw had the panels at 8′ long x 2′ wide. If they are shorter that is a new development. I think you should be able to operate them manually, but the design they had was too highly geared to actuate. I was planning to create new manual operators for better leverage.

I guess the oast floor panels are 4′ long. I was wondering how wide each floor panel is.. The floor panels I am asking about are for the manual version..From what I understand only the pneumatic floor panels are available now. Any info would be great Thank you, Pete

Hello Jeremy.

Thank you, and congratulations to you as well. Throughput on this unit is 450-500 dry pounds per day. It averages north of 150 pounds per drop and with three tiers there are three drops per day. This year the material we ran was much less dense than in previous years. We still averaged 142 pounds per tier

Good question on the terpenes. I have a test in now for kiln dried terpenes to compare with a terp profile we already have for air dried. However, that test is with a different lab. To be more precise I will submit the same material to the lab that did the air dried terp profile. Anecdotally, I think one might lose 25% when you run heat at 90F. But be sure to treat the product as you would premium flower. Don’t store it in super sacks or you will of course continue to lose flavor. Check back in a week for the terp comparison.

Also, any empirical data on terpene profile difference between air dry vs kiln dry?
Thanks!

Hi John.
I bought all the Sukup hardware through Hops Harvester. I have a 7.5hp centrifugal fan. Much quieter. I think the heater is 700,000 BTU. The oast floor panels are key. They turn material over with every drop. buildings can be 14′ – 18′ tall.

I would not use one heater/fan assembly for two 8×12 buildings. I don’t think you have enough air movement. When sizing mine, the 7.5hp was maxed out just to do the one unit.

Hi Pete.

We took some basic plans supplied by hopsharvester and adapted them to an 8×12 footprint. No plans – mostly built it around the hardware. reach out to them here: email: info@hopsharvester.com
